A/C conversion to an Air Compressor
Does anyone know anything about converting your A/C unit into a compressor? I've heard lots of people talking about this I'm just not sure how it works or if its even possible. This would be great if possible, use your air impact in the woods, or inflate a tire. Thanks again!
See this tech article elsewhere on this site:

I've often thought this would be a cool thing to have, too. My truck already has air conditioning, though, and I can't do without it in this Arizona heat. So, I'd have to add an additional A/C compressor onto the engine somehow, and find a way to drive it with a belt... not a trivial problem.
Has anybody out there solved this?
Thanks,
