94 Explorer needs new engine!!! HELP!

Hi all,
I have a 1994 4.0 Explorer and the engine is shot. I need some suggestions on what to do next. There are people telling me that I can put a 1999 engine in it and all I would have to do would be to use the existing intake, sensors, and wiring harness form my engine. I would really rather not get just a long block as these are complete engines.
There is another option from my local salvage yard. They have a 1992 4.0 Explorer engine. What do you think I should do?
What are the parts that I would need from the 1999 and what are the parts that I would need from the 1994. Please HELP!!! Thanks in advance for all your input!

If the 99 were an OHV motor, I beleive you could use that with the Intake sensors and harness. But you could not use it if it were the SOHC motor.

Im not an expert, so I could be wrong.
