floor mats

o.k., is it my imagination, or do the floor mats that come with the 05 f-350 look like they should be in the baby gap department? Mine are black rubber w/edges around to hold in the water/snow. great idea if only they were a larger size and protected more of my carpet. I asked the dealer when i took delivery about the small looking mats, yet they could find nothing in the computers as of yet. just wondering if anyone else has this problem and maybe a soultion. thanks

I have the Husky mats in my truck and I have to say they are awesome. They fit very well and seem to catch all the grime and are easy to clean. Well worth the $$$.

Just be careful not to armorall the mats after you clean the grime off, or you will be dancing a jig trying to stop your rig-if you know what I mean.

I went with the factory carpeted, and same issue, way too small.

Which huskies are you using? The Heavy duty or the regular? Thanks!

Yes, they are some pee-wee floor mats. Were the '04 and earlier years the same size??

captchas, I never thought of using pledge. I'll have to give it a try. Does it leave a film?

I am going the easy way out when I order my new XLT, going with the carpet delete, saves $60 and I can hose the floor out when it gets dirty, and use a little lemon pledge when it's dinner and a movie time.

I have the Huskys too and I cant say enough good stuff about them, full coverage so my carpet is protected like you wouldnt beleive. I had originally bought the front, driver and passenger only, not for the hump in the middle, then after how good they work, bought the rear and now in the market to buy the one for the hump in the middle. Again great product. I dont put anything on mine other than a little soap and water.

That's the first thing I did, as well, is replace the whimpy floor mats. I narrowed it down b/t the Husky's and Highland. Both had the exact same spec's (type of rubber, thickness, how much water & mud they'd hold, warranty, etc), but the Highland's were less expensive. I got the 2 fronts + front "hump" cover and the 2-pc full-length floor cover for the back seat (I have a Crew Cab F-250). I think I got them online at either www.mats4less.com or www.mats.com. Something like that. I know I didn't spend more than $200 (including shipping) for the whole shi-bang.

Oh yeah, and I also don't recommend Armor-Alling the mats. Sure, they look great, but you get the slip-n-slide action plus the magnetic affect of all the dirt/dust sticking to the Armor-All in half a day and it looks like it needs cleaning again! It's kinda like Armor-Alling the bedliner.Been there, done both

Best,
daryl

PS- compare those 2 brands and WeatherTech brand also. Good price on my wife's '04 Explorer for fronts and rear mats. Check their website... DS

Cosco, set of rubber Front/Rear $23.00.

I do wish the rear was the full one piece though. But the fronts I just put over the top of the factory mats and carpet. They fit nice. Wide and deep for mud and snow. They've saved my carpet this winter.

As for cleaning them- I just use the pressure washer.

anyone ever use the catch-all mats (cabelas sells them)?? they're supposedly custom fit. i was gonna buy them but then xmas rolled around and my truck became second priority then i forgot about gettin the mats all together, this weather has been doin a number on my rug, but i do have the walmart specials for 20 bucks when i got my truck. i was just curious, seems you speak highly of the husky's... maybe i'll give those a shot instead.
