Ok I am thinking about buying some Antera 22" rims does anyone out there have this size? I have a few questions for you
#1 Does it effect the ride quality?
#2 Do you seem to go thru your brake pads quicker?
#3 What size tires will fit without rubbing?
I know your ride quality is definitely going to be hurt. You wont be able to drive it like a truck anymore either, you hit bumps/potholes with big 22s and low profiles, and you'll bend them.
Your braking shouldnt be affected, i dont think you'll notice a difference in feel or pad wear. Sorry, im not sure what size tires you want...
hey sorry for replying to this post late but, mook is wrong i have a 97 expedition with 23's on it and 45 series tires my ride quality went down about 10-15% if that really the only difference i feel is that it seems more stable in turns less body roll, also i have hit potholes and not a dent the tires are actually pretty tall 45 series because their so big their not all thin like when you see cars on 18 in wheels with 45 series tires so with 22's you really shouldnt have to worry just get a wheel and tire combination that matches the size you have now or close. google tire size calculator and a few will come up the first one should be fine to determine what size tire you will need.
305/45-22 inch Falkens I ain't skerd of no stanking pot holes. Just be sure that if you get the truck serviced some where that they put the tire manufacturer's recomended pressure in the tire. Mine is actually 44 psi. A shorter tire will usually require more air pressure. Most places like to put about 32 psi in them.
