My 95 150 wont Git Up

I have a 95 150 with a big V8 in it .

Runs great unless I really get on the gas. Then it shakes and chugs . I can be in Park and do this so I dont suspect drivetrain or anything. I bought this truck off a buddy just recently and he had no idea either... Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks alot.. Nobody likes a truck with no nuts!!

Did you put a code scanner on it and retrieve the codes? If not, do so.

I would also look at a misfiring spark plug or crack in the cap/rotor. If is was gas, it would probably not even start. I would check out the electrical system. ie the coil,cap/rotor,spark plugs, and plug wires. I just put a set of plug wires on my 93 and that took the herky-jerky out of excelleration.

cutting out when you hit the gas is one of 2 things. either a fuel issue (clogged fuel filter) or clogged Caty converter. I would start by doing a good tune up your rig. new plugs (autolite copper) ford 9mm wires, cap, rotor. set timing to 10*btdc and replace fuel filter. start there if it continues then i would suspect the cat as colapsed
