Brake Booster
Put a booster on my 68'. didn't have one before. i used the adapter brakets off of another set up i acquired. problem... it seems as though there isn't enough pedal distance now. and with most booster you can hear a squishing sound in the pedal when the engine is not running, i am not hearing that at all. the booster does appear to be working. any suggestions to get more pedal distance?

I have never heard any "squishing noise" in any of the boosters I have.
and for the pedal hight problem... I cut the actuator arm (the one connecting the pedal arm to the booster) and spliced about 1" of steel and voila' or you could get a longer actuator from a later model truck's pedal assy.

thanks for the help. i may do the same and splice the actuator arm. i have heard a squishing noise in every make and model vehicle i have driven when i depressed the brake pedal when the engine is not running. just FYI.
