I am looking at an 86 250 4x4,302 efi,4-speed.3:55 ls gears. Nothing fancy. The truck has 83,000 original miles and no rust or damage. It runs like a new one. What kind of milage can I expect? I believe this was the first year for efi, did they have any teething problems? What is this truck worth? Thanks

86 was the first year for fuel injection on EVERY 302. BUT, 85 was the first year as an option (I got one!) 
I don't really notice any problems with my truck (it has 150,000 KILOMETRES on the original engine and tranny). You should be able to get at least 200,000 miles if not more with regular oil changes and maintenance. It sounds like a great truck.
As far as how much is it worth, it's up to you! If the body and underneath is in really good shape $2000 sounds good. But you may be able to get it for less. Just kind of feel out the person selling it. Good luck!
