Read my vin
Can anyone please tell me what type of gears my truck has? She is a 85 F150 long bed standard cab with a 3 on the tree.
The vin is 1FTCF15Y1FKAO4619. Any help I could get would be great

Read my vin
If you check the ID plate that is on the driver's door jamb you will find at the bottom a code for the axle. Your owner's manual will decode that for you. If you don't have an owner's manual, post the code here and we'll figure it out. You can also check the rear end for a tag that tells you what the gears are. I don't think you can get the ratio from the VIN #, but I could be wrong. Someone correct me if I am.
