Shift problems
I have a 94 F150, 5.0 Trans code U, 120,000 miles. When I drive on the highway and the trans downshifts out of overdrive, it feels like it is going to knock my teeth out. Also, when I turn the overdrive off for city driving, I get a rumbling at 40 to 50 mph. The truck has great pick up and shifts perfectly from 1,2,and 3rd.
Any help would be GREAT!!!!

Go to one of the major parts stores and have the computer scanned for codes and go from there, Autozone does it for free then post the code or codes here. Sometimes resetting the computer will temporarily fix the problem.
