Auto with a clutch?
hi im kinda new here in this fourm and im just learning all i can about everything. but i have seen it before but dont understand how it works? like how hard would it be to put a clutch in a c6? and how does it work? just curious???

Well, if your thinking of a "clutch" like a manual transmission would use, theoretically, you probably could, but i see no point. Having a torque converter on an auto works in your favor, you get torque multiplication. Where did you see someone putting a clutch in an auto tranny? Are you maybe confusing it with the ability to shift an auto tranny using a manual valve body?

no i know about the manual valve body's i was just just wondering howthe clutch in a auto setup worked? there was a place here in dallas in the late 70's early 80's called hotrod exchange, my dad was telling me about it and a truck that was a auto but it had a clutch. and just wondering how it worked thought it sounded different and cool?
