Well, I tried to make it to work today. it started snowing and apparently had iced before that, because under all the snow, there is ice. Not knowing this, I tried to get my little ranger up the hill to get out of the parking lot. Couldn't do it. wound up calling out of work and here I am sitting in my dorm with nothing to do. This sucks, I should probably be getting a call from work here in a little while letting me have it for not showing up on saturday again this week. Although my manager seemed cool about it, I don't know how the CS manager will handle it. Well, I found an open spot at the very bottom of the hill so I just rolled my truck down the hill into that spot, so there is not way i'm going anywhere today. For the second week in a row, I'm snowed in somewhere, well, last week it was ice, but yeah. I hate not being able to go anywhere. Plus the weather man said that it wouldn't hit until tonight, boy was he wrong.
Haven't you learned that the weatherman is the only guy who still gets paid for being wrong. Is threr no bus service or taxis. Or a buddy that can come and get you. Showing up a bit later than not at all shows that you made geuine attempt to get to work. That holds more for the bosses than calling in too often.
all my buddys went home for the weekend, live on campus, two miles away from work, I talked to my manager and told him that if there was anyway that they could come pick me up, then I would come in. He told me not to worry about it, still haven't received a call yet, so I guess that's a good sign that no one is upset over there. It's a grocery store, it's icy, who goes grocery shopping in the ice? Wait, there are plenty of people, nevermind, lol.
