advice on changing clock spring
I'm pretty sure my clock spring needs replacing ('94 f150)the airbag light blinks 3-2. I'm wondering if anyone that has replaced the clock spring and if there is anything special I need to do. As I understand it I need to disconnect the battery, take the airbag out, and then take off the steering wheel to get at the spring. Is this basicaly it?

after battery disconect, hold foot on brake to drain remaining power in system. remove airbag and place bolt side down, if it accidently goes off it will stay there and not become a rocket. remove steering wheel and clockspring, when puting new one in, follow the instructions on the clockspring for alignment ( very simple ). DO NOT FORGET TO TORQUE YOUR WHEEL ON. it happens, and people end up with the wheel in their hands not attached to anything. this job is very simple, good luck.
