I had a rather unpleasant suprise yesterday morning with my 04 Heritage. I got in it to go and turn the key - Nothing. Nada. I thought sure the battery went duff since it was only about 5 to 10 degrees F that morning, and checking to make sure I didn't dummy up the night before and leave a dome light on or something plugged into the power point - but I didn't. I turned on the headlights and they were bright, and they didn't dim when turning the key to start.
Hmmm .. I saw this happen once before on an E-350 cutaway (Ambulance) - moved the gear selector thru the gears a few times and it started. So I went up and down on the gear selector and tapped on the steering column a couple times. Then it started. Where is the neutral safety switch on the 04 Heritage? on the tranny or in the steering column?
Only 2200 miles so it's going to the dealer for repair.
