How do i find out which engine i have???
I'm gonna finally get the chance to work on the truck. . . the previous owner says the engine was swapped out in 91 when he got it. how do i find out which it is(whether a 302 or 351 etc)? it has EFI but i heard that there can be both 302 and 351 with EFI? honestly, i barely know ANYthing about trucks so im a little lost here. thanks guys

The easiest way I know of to tell the difference is... follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing (where the hose ends on the motor side), look at the right bolt for the thermostat housing. Does it look like it is hard to get to, and blocked by the timing chain cover? Or does it sit up above the timing chain cover and look easy to get to? Hope this helps, you could always take a picture and post it too.
