Help! I'm going nuts...
Ok, I have a fairly new 390(12,000mi) in my truck been running great. Well I live in texas so summers are hot and I do alot of drivin so i was running 20w50 in it, well winter came so i switched to 10w30. There is a loud tap/tick coming from the driverside, you only here it when idling or if you let of the gas and coast down the street. It was extremely faint before but after the oil change it got horrible.

You could check your fuel pump. When i put in my new motor in the summer. A couple days later it sytarted tickin.....sounded like lifter tick. I grabbed a peice of rebar that was layin around , stuck one end in my ear and the other on various engine parts, then thought hmmm, Lets try the fuel pump. Sure enough, that was it. Quick 5 min fix. ( I had a spare fuel pump layin around).
ANyway, its worth a shot to check it out. Hope you find the problem.
