Hi. I'm having problems with my 1985 f100 302 efi brakes. It started when I didn't put the brake fluid reservoir cap on properly, I nearly emptied the fluid out completely from the front and back reservoirs, there wasn't much left in them. Anyway I have bled the brakes twice but the front brakes are very "touchy" they keep locking up, pretty bad on a dirt road. The brakes were working perfectly before this incident. I am told the back brakes are self adjusting and in my owners manual it says reverse and stop 3-4 times to let them self adjust which i have done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your reply rebo. Seems like these brakes have micracously fixed themselves! I was prepared this weekend to belled them again like you said but they have come good, they are perfect, we have had a lot of wet weather latetly, could this be anything to do with it, BTW I have heard of bench bleeding, can you tell me how it is done, and can the average backyard mechanic do it?
