6 spd clutch

No prior warning-Little grinding when to 3&4.Clutch pedal stuck to floor,twice,pulled up by hand.Made it to house.At idle truck would go fwd w/clutch in.Now clutch stuck out.Slop in master cyl rod end (3/4"),Pedal travels about 1/2 travel.Soft and spongy.Help !!! thanx-tripod(newbie)

..............Check your hydraulic slave cylinder . If it turns out that your clutch is out get out the plastic and just get it fixed . My clutch died when I came back out from a DC Burger at What A burger. Wouldn't even go into gear so I call the wrecker guy and we take a 40 mile ride to my dealer who is in a Town so small (Stowe Ford , Gordon , Texas) that you would never believe that Ford would have Dealership in this one horse Town . Best darn Ford people in the State of Texas . They are in an old RED Brick building about 100 years old . Very 1930's and makes you feel like that you're back in the Bonnie and Clyde era . Anyway , hope it ain't the Clutch , good luck , s.kuteman

sounds more like your pressure plate broke wedging the clutch ingaged, my niebors truck did that last week. more than likely time for a new clutch. how many miles?

with 88k on it it could still be the clutch. when you push the pedal down slave travel should be 11mm are you getting that much?

When I push clutch pedal in,it only goes about 1 1/2-2 inches and spongy,dont go near all the way in.This happened after I had to pull clutch pedal out from floor 2 times.
