Swapping 302 to a 400
Hey gentalman; I just got ahold of a relay good 400 engine. I still plan to rebuild it, however. How bad of a job will it be putting this motor into my 82 F250. It currently has a 302 in it. Will the engine stands have to be replaced? And what about headers? what would work good. I mostly local drive this truck, but I do alot of towing and hauling.

i don't know about the motor mounts but the bell housings and exhaust are different. just knowing how ford does not like to leave any thing an easy bolt up you could assume the motor mounts are different. then you get into the accesories on the engine - all different.
