That sounds like a Ford 3.03. I have one in my '69 Bronco. In Broncos they are called RAT and RAN, one is for the 6 cyl and one is for the V8. They are also known as RAC HEG and HEF in other cars. It should have an iron case, a top cover and shifter on the side. You may be able to find a pic of it on one of the many early Bronco websites ('66-'77). Check www.wildhorses4x4.com, www.bcbroncos.com, www.broncograveyard.com, www.advanceadapters.com, or one of the many private websites on the early Bronco webring.
