Turbo Upgrades?

Turbo Upgrades?
I am thinking about upgrading my turbo to a wicked wheel compressor wheel and possibly having the whole turbo assembly balanced? Has anyone ever had this done? Would there be an upgrade that might be better? I can get it balanced and wheel installed for less than $400.

Any other mods? Do you have turbo surge, stall, flutter? If no there are better ways to spend the money. The Wicked Wheel is $80, balance is $100 or less, Install time is 3hrs + or - off the truck, on the truck is 1.5hrs + or -.

Are the wicked wheels for the newer turbos? I mean the 2000 models and up. The reason I ask is I have a 99' and wondering if wicked wheel would help at all. I've heard that ford changed the wheels on the later models so the older models it wouldn't make much difference.

I have a 2001 F-350, 7.3L with a 4" Magna Flow exhaust including 4" downpipe, Diablosport Predator set on 60HP setting, Diesel Dynamics ICP computer box, and soon to have the Ford Heavy Duty high flow airbox assembly, I just recieved my boost gauge, pyrometer and am waiting for my tranny temp gauge and 3 pillar pod. I have no idea what boost I am running and am curious to see where I stand. Is the compressor surge only a problem with higher boosts? Does balancing the turbo really make a difference? I can install the wheel myself but wanting to know if I should spend the extra for the balance.
