The multi-function switch in the steering column most likely.

thankyou but is there any other things that it cold be before i buy a 80 dollar part?

It could be a wiring problem in the steering column or the plug that plugs into the multi-function switch. Try wiggling the turnsignal stalk around while you push on the brake and see if the brake lights try to come on.

ok i will do that but is it comman for that switch to go out on the fords

thank u for your input it was the multi function switch. no offence but i was looking at all of the messages that people had left on this thing and it looks like ford needs to change somethings on te multi switch to make it better so people like me do have to spend so much on a part that goes out all the time
