I am in no way questioning anyone's ability but sometimes (from my own experience) it is in our best interest to let or pay someone else to do the work. Reason for consideration here is that you have a new truck, new electrical components to be installed both with full warranties. Will Ford or the dealer back up any potential problems down the road if there is an issue? Don't know and wouldn't want to find out either. And if you want to do it yourself, I'll still back you 100% cause I'm a do-it-yourself kinda guy. Good luck and if you ever need a deck hand let me know, I do a mean toilet.

thanks for your input. i am a ase master tech with over 40 years under my belt. but still look into every thing with open eyes and do more then double check before doing anything, i have with the help of crash287 the full 364 page instruction manual and he is sending me the wireing diagrams shortly, after i take a few days to obsurb every thing then i will make up my mind, i also have the name and number of the shop that the dealer uses . so for now i will lean back and read then weigh the scales.
thank you again for your input and every one else your help and answers.
