Is there a way the chapter members could have something in a visible signature to indicate they are a member of this chapter? It would be nice to be able to see who is a member when we are posting and responding to posts, and we could help with reputations at that time as well.

yes, but not every chapter member is a FTE supporter, so their signature won't be visible in the post. I was hoping there was a way to show their membership in a fashion visible without having to hover over the signature location on the right of the post.

Well they could just type ab/bc chapter member at the end of their posts, but that gets to be a pain to keep doing i've found, so really unless i made up an avatar of sorts (which i'm thinking about but i've been real busy with school at the moment), the only options we have are in the signature (which like you said about hovering over the sigs button thingy), or we betcome a member so our sig shows.

Well I think we should have a challenge to see how many members of this chapter we can get to sign up for FTE memberships. One year membership to FTE is less than a case of beer eh?
Let's show our western Canadian spirit to our cousins to the south and east, and be proud to support such a site.
Pony up big fellas.

One thing i forgot to put in when i typed this up orginally:

If there is an upcoming event that you will be attending please post it up to see if anyone for the board will be attending, chances are at least one other person will, as people have said before (myslef included) its nice to put names to faces.

Also if you are doing any traveling through either of the 2 provinces post it up as well, its always nice to stop in a town for coffee and meet a fellow member, with that said consider it an open invitation from me to you if you ever want to stop in for coffee in edmonton (till end of june) or down in coutts in the summer.

Has the member list been updated recently? I joined the Alberta/BC chapter a few months ago and don't see my name on the list.
