I have a 94 Ranger with a 4.0 and a A4LD automatic. I need some good information on trannys.
1 ...Will a Mustang or AeroStar transmission bolt up, and electronicly plug in and be an exact match?
2 ...Are the gear ratios a match?
3 ...Why does the Haynes book tell me to mark the flywheel thru the starter hole before I slide the tranny back?
4 ...If I see a tranny on the shelf, where are the numbers that I need to read to find out if it is a match?
