I tried doing a search but came up emty handed so...my buddy just bought a '96 PSD and it shifts hard. We are pretty sure it's chipped since the previous owner installed the boost and pyro guages, intake, etc. I suggested he drive it more like sports car and not worry about it...all I got was a blank stare. Anyway, in trying to help him out I went looking for the ECU and found it's not in the same location as my '01. I figure it's gotta be close--like under the kick panel left of the e-brake--but he's aweful particular about his "new" truck and letting someone start ripping panels out. Please help me find his "chip" and solve his hard shifting problem.
