My 56 has stock wipers. The dash pull switch seems to be a 2-position type, indicating 2 speeds on the wipers. I only have one speed.
Are these supposed to be 2-speed?
How would you recommend trouble shooting this?
(George): Do you happen to have a wiring diagram for this too?
BTW, in the recent (Xmas) rain deluge here in California, the wipers just couldn't keep up. I tried that "Rain-X" stuff. Really works great! Hardly had to use the wipers in a normal rain. The water just runs off, leaving a clear view. Not very often that something works as advertised.
Randy, Not to change your thread but, I've used rain X for years, works great. first used it when I plowed for the state highway dept, they stocked it for us.
Great stuff
Mike
Randy, my 56 has a two speed motor and it works on both low speed and high speed. There are two wires coming from the motor and one ground wire. When I bought my truck, the previous owner hooked up toggle switches with relays to the wiper motor. To say the least it was sad but worked. I purchased a wiper switch which has to contacts for the slow speed, one for high speed and a hot wire coming from the fuse box. The switch should have two positions also. Hope this helps.
