FE446 new track times!
14.1969 seconds at 97.93 MPH
That, with Kevin (strokster) riding with me, a weak launch, and I hit the MSD rev limiter in 1st and 2nd gear....
Unfortunatley we lost a motor mount (or at least the nut) on that pass. the next 2 passes were ugly, until we figured out what was hapening (gear shifter moving, throttle sticking etc). I also lost one of the electric cut-outs. Busted butter-fly vlave sent me home in noisy mode. So, I've got some stuff to fix. But, once again made it home under my own power :-)
So the really good news, aside from the best time to date: I think we resolved the fuel starvation issue with the rerouting of teh fuel line.. With the newly installed fuel pressure gauge in the cab, we observed minimal change on the first pass, and the stumble did not happen for the first time! It pulled all the way, minus my bad shifts. It felt good! this thing is going 13s for sure...
Here is a page wit hthe run info and pic of the timelsip.

I'll post a pic of teh new gauges here shortly. It's starting to look like a cockpit in there. 2 A/F gauges and a digital fuel pressure gauge, and the vacuum gauge all below the dash....
all in all a good night, saw a couple 7 second cars and a few 18.5 second cars :-)
Man, you are doing us proud. Keep up the good work. The impressive thing to keep in mind is that you are running about what the famous muscle cars used to run. Once you dip into the 13s they will have nothing up on you, and you're spotting them 1000 pounds!

Knockin' on the 13's is definitly a cool deal man, it's finally paying off... All that and you still drove it home
(watch that 18 second crack, it's me in the daily driver...)

I've made some passes in drive before. It likes to shift at a low 4000-4200 rpm. I think it was still in the 14s, but not getting all of the motor for sure.
I'll probably start looking for a foor mounted quick shifter of sorts...any suggestiosn appreciated.
18 seconds, wasn't necessarily a crack. There was girl in a 4 cyl, regular cab ranger running in the Wed. night Woop-**** contest. Which is casual bracket racing. She almost won the prize jacket, got to the last round. She was getting a second gear scratch every time, and having fun...
After losing the motor mount, we got to watch some. That was fun. There was a lot of "Fast" cars that weren't as fast as the project....It's going to be a lot of fun if I get consistently into the 13s...Mustangs and Camaros, BMW M3s, are all gonna be a little surprised...

With any luck we can put fire to the motor this weekend, there's a neighbor running a small block Cobra that needs to learn about big engine power and school is about to begin...

Greg had quite a few admirers and curious on lookers in the pits. A fun night with just a little carnage.

good job on the numbers were cheering for you to hit that 13.
I had it rebult a few years back when I started this project. I took it to Cottman, and told the tech that I wanted it to handle about 450HP and still be able to tow. I removed and reinstalled the tranny. The rebuild cost over $800. I may hve been taken, but I think they guys were being honest and teh tech knew what he was doing. I believe it has an upgraded shift kit, and he did something to the TC. Other than that, I know next to nothing about my C6. If I get to where I'm doing my part well, and the motor keeps doing it's thing, then I can start to look at the tranny.
How can I adjust it so it shifts at about 5500rpm in Drive? If you know, speak up. Keep in mind, I know almost nothing about auto trannies.
That's MY line
I would assume that the modulator on the side of the tranny would give some adjustment to when it shifts. It might have the adjustable one in it?? Maybe not? Usually take a small allen wrench thru the opening to adjust them(like a vacuum diaphram on a dizzy). It senses vacuum(load) and tell it when to shift. This might get you going in the right direction.
BTW, glad to hear the strong/solid pass. Time to install a turn buckle on that beast

Mirrors have been off for months...a bit of a pain hauling my little trailer without them...even worse when I'm hauling something in the bed and the rear view is blocked. Then, I have no mirros...
