Hi folks, I'm new to this do-it-yourself stuff.
But I gots a problem, my radiator fluid is running off !
When I first knew there was trouble my temp gauge kept going from normal to high FAST !
When I checked the fluid level there was none (empty).
So I filled it, now there is a slow leak from under the left rear of the engin (if u were standing in front with hood up).
It seems far away from the radiator, it's on the OTHER side of the motor.
F-150 XL 1996 manual bought second hand.

Check the hoses that go into the fire wall on the passengers side. These are the coolant lines to the Heater core, They have hose clamp fitting that may need to be tightened or one of the hoses may have broken. Another thought is a leaky heater core, that is leaking out of the cab. Some Ford vehicles have drains in the event that the heater core leaks. The drain is usually below the heater hoses where they enter the cab. Depending on the year of your truck heater cores are usually easy to replace and cost $30-$50 bucks. If it is the hoses even easier. Good luck let me know what you find.
you didn't say what engine - V8 has plumbing to throttle body area which can leak and run back along top of engine and run off the back; also thermostat housing can do the same. Another possibility is core plugs at back of engine (freeze plugs) these plug holes in casting of engine block. Look at everything real carefully - antifreeze can run to real crazy spots and show up a distance from where it actually leaked. Good luck!!
