bleeding clutch master?

1986 f 150 4x2 6cyl t18
My clutch master went out on me. I have a new one but don't know how to bleed the system. There is a plug on the slave cylinder. Can I put a nipple in there and bleed it?

Hi Jay,,
I have dealt with these just like a brake system. If you can find the bleeder screw on the slave all is good. Hope it comes out. Have a freind sit in the truck and you make sure you have the master full of brake fluid. Then from underneath just crack the bleeder about a half turn and tell your freind to slowly push down on the clutch. Do this as many times as necessary until you feel that all the air has been taken out. Make sure you keep topping up the master or you will be bleeding forever. Normally it should only take about 5 minutes to do this.Good luck.
