Hey guys I want to make sure I'm buying the right part. I was sitting at a light the other day and she just died, I hit the key an she started right back up again. Then it did it a little later in the day same thing die at a light then I would be able to start right back up again. Yesterday was taking off from a light and she just died tach went to zero then picked back up again and took off did that three times so far. I only have 39,900 on the clock. It sounds as though my cps or as International calls it a CAMP Sensor, am I making a right assumption. Cost from International here in Houston $97.36 +tax. Braking down onthe side of the road would suck.......
Thanks cookie88 I am going to International right now!! One last stupid question should I wait untill it goes out completely before I replace it or do I replace it right away (will the old one last a while longer?)and put the old one in the glove box in case the new one fries sometime while I am dring down the road and use it for emergency purpose?
If you wait until it completely fails, you'll be changing it on the side of the road somewhere. I would put the new one in right now, and get another new one to keep as the spare, because it's going to fail again eventually.
rmilchman, sorry took me so long to reply my truck is a 2003.
total including tax from International was $105.00 so I just did it myself and didnt have to mess with taking it to the stealer.
