Theft alarm
I want to put an alarm in my '97 F-350. Is there a prewired plug someplace I can connect too? How much trouble is it to wire one up? Any recommendations as to what kind or brand. I don't need a lot of fancy gadgets like remote start, interior temp. etc. just one that has a remote beeper when the alarm in the truck is set off. ...........Thanks a bunch.....

I have a Viper on my '97 and am very happy with it. It has a keychain remote that just turns on the alarm and locks the doors and vice-versa. You get a siren chirp when it's armed and two chirps when it's disarmed. I got it at Audio Express and they only charge a dollar for the install. There is also a red LED on the dash that blinks when armed.
