1999 electric door locks
My 1999 f150 has developed a problem with the passenger door lock it trys to lock but won't and when locked manually it will try and unlock with switch but just comes up a little and then locks back

The actuator is about $70 wholesale from the dealer. Beware of aftermarket ones, they have a tenancy to seize up in the locked position which may make it imposable to open the door. Its located at the bottom rear of the door. You'll have to drill out the rivet holding it in and find somebody with skinny arms.

I have opened up these locks and find the 12 volt DC motor inside bad and they just have to be replaced. www.fordparts.com have them at a good price. I have replaced mine on both doors. this forum has the procedure.
