Question another spring question?

I got the stops on for the overloads-THANKS!! You guys saved me from dropping the gas tank.
I have the thick very bottom spring for a main spring pack that was just laying around. It is like 20" long 2.5" wide and .5" thick. Can I put it under the overload spring on top of the overload lift block so I have an "overload" for my overload?? I looked and it looked like it will fit, and it will raise my overload closer to the stops so they will contact sooner. it has a hole in the center that will line up with the center hole in the block and then the overload has a dimple that will fit right in the fatter spring.. Will the fatter spring slide around on the overload lift block?Should I put a small bolt in the center of the block to keep the fat spring alignned with the block.. It is confusing I know I need to take pictures of my idea.
Yes I'm spring crazy SoCal, Ivan
What yall think will it work?

Can you snap a picture? If I'm picturing it correctly you can do this but I'm not 100% on whether I've got it right in my head or not. You're using the overload spring that sits on top of your leaf pack and you're talking about putting this leaf inbetween the leaf pack and the overload?

Ivan,
pics are in gallery titled"springs" The flat one sitting on the tire needs to go under the really arched overload (top top leaf) and on the lift block so it goes like this main pack, lift block, flat spring, the arched overload. Basically another spring for my truck to use when she gets "loaded down" That arched overload seems kinda soft and it needs more help than a single overload. Thier is a hole in the flat spring for a centering bolt but no nipple to "set into" the lift block like that arched overload
Will the flat spring slide around or will it stay secure or can I cut a 1/2 di bolt to about 1/4 long and set it into the center hole in the lift block and the flat spring to keep them aligned the small bolt would act as a centering bolt.
