superships gold chip
i just purchased a superships gold chip from a buddy of mine who had it in his 2001 PSD. im gonna throw it in on my 96 PSD after i have it re-flashed and burned to the 80hp setting. how much just outta curiousity does it cost to have 'em re-flashed and burned? and one more tiny question, since i have installed my hypermax 3" downpipe that dumps into my 5" ss exhaust that dumps outta a 6" chrome tip right before the rear tire, after i put in this chip will i be able to finally smoke up the neighbor hood with some thick *** black smoke?

Not speaking from experience, but I dont think the stock injectors flow enough fuel to get the black smoke your talking about. Usually the most one can expect from a chip and stock injectors is about 50 hp.

i havent ever heard that before. if this were true then the things i have witnessed from my own eyes arent true then. i have seen a couple buddies put an 80hp chip in the strokers like mine and go from stock on a dyno to an 71hp improvement over stock on a dyno. i have talked to people on this site who have installed chips with stock injectors and have had more then an 80hp gain and dump thick black smoke now my conception of thick black smoke may be diffrent then yours but this is just what i know that makes me contridict what your saying and i appreciate your reply but im sure that there are others on this site that would agree with me
