I have a 01 Excursion with a 7.3 Diesel. Love the truck but it rides verry rough in the front end. I was looking at it and there are big rubber blocks between the axle at the leaf spring u-bolts and the frame, limiting the travel to about 1" of travel. Anybody ever take them out and see what happens? I looked at some superdutys and they dont have the rubber snubber there.
The truck bounces all over the road when hitting bigger bumps and it is not the shox.
V10 Bump stops?? Try 03 or later bump stops, newer conical design. Best fix is V or U code superduty springs. They will give you more spring travel and fix your ride. Of course better shocks would be required. Don't remove stops. SD trucks have a smaller square stop.
