check out my gallery...I have 33'' mud terrains. they look really sweet, but they are loud man. I believe if you space the front bumper and valance out one inch, you can fit 35s. i know a user on here that has done so and has BFG 315/70/17, that is a 35 inch tire. I have 33s, no rub, no probs... https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=59618&width=2

Hi Mook,
I have a 97' Expy. w 17" rims and I want to put on 33" tires also. Most shops say the biggest they would put on is 265/70/R17, about 31.5".
Do you know if there is a significant difference between '02 Expy and the 97 Expy as far as how big of a tire that will fit?
Also, what kind of suspension do you have. Mine is the 4 corner LLS airbag system?
a 33 inch or 285/70/17 will fit on the stock 17 inch rim, no probs. If you have a 16 inch rim, the 285/75/16 will fit.
The clearance should be just fine whether you have a 97 or 02, BUT you might have a rub problem if you have the LL suspension. Im not all the familiar with it, I have the regular suspension. Can anyone with LLS add to this?
