variable venturi 351 HP motor.
I know this is a truck forum, but I have a problem with my '89 HP car.
The car has a 351W with the variable venturi carb. Normally, it works fine, however, when the temp gets say below 20 degrees, it starts real hard. I have to hold it to the floor to get it to fire. It got down to about 0 degrees this weekend and I couldn't get it to start for anything, and 0 degrees is nothing here in SD. Is anyone familiar with this carb? I have a friend with one, he said just take it off and put a 2 barrel on it.
I have new plugs, wires, etc on it.
Anyone have any suggestions?
