Need to know!
I have a 1993 Bronco 4x4 351w and if i were to get headers, piping is at 3'' replace the first cat where it goes from two into one with a y-pipe and the second cat with a high flow cat, will i pass emisions in arizona? if anyone knows or knows of a way i can find out please tell! Thanks

Does the state of Arizon require a visual inspection of emissions equipement and secondly, has AZ adopted a zero-tolerance policy for modifications from OEM "stock" equipment similar to the CA emissions ****'s. These are the questions to pose to the governing body that oversees vehicle emissions testing in AZ.

I had my exhaust work done at the local shop. I still have manifolds but I had them make 3 inch single all the way back with a flowmaster. They told me that I would not pass Nevada emission testing if I only had one cat. So they hollowed out the first one and replaced the second with a high flow. It was well worth it because it brought my truck alive!

Older vehicles in Arizona always get visual inspections, if the car is newer and has the diagnostic plug they just hook up their machine to a take readings, if it passes the emissions there they move you on out, if it don't then they start snooping. If you've had a check engine light anytime soon, make sure you have cleared all your codes before you go in, or they will fail you.

I happen to live in Calif. and know only too well the restrictions that are imposed on us by the EPA. I guess we just have to learnto live with it. We don't have to like it. It usually runs about $80.00 for a smog check and you just pray nothing comes up or get ready to mortgage the farm. We have a dyno smog test here plus the certificate. All computerized. I live in Fresno,Ca.
