The new Durango ads compare it to the Explorer; kinda funny, seeing as how the Durango is full-size and the Explorer is mid-size. Guess DC didn't want to match specs against the Expedition - I wonder why?
I think Dodge really screwed up with the new Durango. Instead of making a midsize and a full size, they make a universal, one size fits all, that has as many disadvantages as advantages. Not that much more interior room than an explorer, with exterior diminsions approaching that of an expedition, and will get horrible mileage no matter which engine you get. Not to mention being one of the ugliest vehicles on the road. I think Ford and Chevy are doing it right by offering all different sizes, appealing to different needs.

I agree completely!
I/we drove a 'new' Durango while in Florida, this past September.
Seats like an old buckboard. Hard. Real hard. Not as much headroom as my old Dakota ('02.)
Gas hog.
And. . . . UHG-LEE.
D/C has gone from one of the best looking 'mid' size trucks, to the absolute UGLIEST truck in existance.
Thanks for letting me vent. Time for my medication. Gonna go out and drive my Ford.
As usual Dodge screwed up a halfway good thing. The new Dodge durangoes looklike crap. With the previous front end troubles they have had and now this terrible looking update The Dodge durangoe might be history.
