hook ups for towing

There are 2 different jacks present on my 05 for towing. Ones a two prong, the other multi prong. Whats the diff?

What jacks are you referring to? Below the rear bumper my '05 F-250 has a 7 pin "RV" connector and a "Flat 4" connector. The Flat 4 is for simple trailers with only running lights, brake lights and turn signals. The RV connector allows the same, with brake control, 12V DC power and ground. Is this what you are reffering to?
