old school HEI for a Ford ?
has anyone tried a DUI distributor from performance ignition, their hype is machine set mechanical advance to your motor, cam, vehicle and it's use(no trial and error), one wire hook up, with a tach port, 50,000 volts, and the reliability of HEI

I had done this on an 83 F150 5.0L.
That and the Holley ProJection was the best thing that I ever did with that truck. The DUI cured all of the DuraSpark ills and was a 2 wire setup (3 if you run a tach). It can be custom tailored to your application. Ran it for years without problems.
