91 ranger

I have a problem with a 91 4.0 4x4, recently the truck would'nt start, replaced battery(other was fairly old) truck ran fine. Parked it for the weekend, went to go to work nothing, no lights no door chime, battery completely dead. Hooked up battery charger for the day, would crank over but not start.Did'nt have time to fiddle with it during the week, figured I'd leave til this weekend, battery was fully charged. Went to start it nothing, dead as before. Hooked a new larger battery charger to it fired right up. Let truck run for about a 1/2 an hour, unhooked positive cable to see if alternator was working, truck ran fine. reconnected cable and ran some errands, shut truck off at a couple of stops, started no problem. Went to start this morning nothing completely dead hooked up charger turns over but wont start. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a bad battery cable/connection.
