rockwells are even better- you don't have to turn it around; it has a drive flange on either side of the pumpkin. that is b/c of the tandom axles in the back.
Fo shizzle. Rockies make it simple if you want to go that heavy duty. Damn I wish they offered some gearing options for the 2.5's!
well sounds like the easiest/best way to go about rear steer setup is to do the rockies! i dunno if i would want 1 ton's anyways, i think for a steering axle they are strong but i think overall (compared to all other axles) they are kinda weak. so rockies it would be! i appreciate all the info and i am glad to see this kind of tech b/c you really don't hear many folks doing a rear steer setup much less even talk about it!
i am gonna keep a sharp eye out for 2 front 2.5 tons rockwells and then it'll be AWN ...just not real sure what rig i would put them in cause my EB would be unstoppable with them but my trail rig needs them!
If you do put them under your 1 ton, i know where a good home for that front 60 would be but then again i should be getting an open knuckle front 70, but hey i could always use a spare.
