Has anyone attempted swapping the 4WD system from a bronco into a F-series truck? I know the driveshaft to the rear would certainly be different due to the length of the chassis, but the front dimensions are the same, right? That being said...what about an F250? I know the Bronco is based on the F150, but how much really differs from the 150 to 250 that might discourage me from this? The body panels are the same. I know it wouldn't be as heavy duty, but I'm not looking to do alot of off-roading. Just a thought...Bronco appear to rust away before they are ready to die for some reason.
Thanks for everyone's wisdom on the kingpins. They are at the shop now getting reamed and replaced. I never thought my Ford Probe would carry my F250 around, but here I just pulled the exles and threw them in the trunk and took them to the shop! Also replacing the pivot bushings and radius arm bushing while it's all torn apart...so I should be good to go for another 160k
