does anyone know how or where to find authentic old license plates

There is ALWAYS someone at a Swap Meet selling them.
Watch for a swap meet in your area this winter or coming spring.
Although this one is from 2001 >This what to look for.

swap meets are always a good place to check. I have come across a couple of license plate collecting clubs or associations on the web, too. Perhaps if you could locate one of them you wouldn't have to wait until swap meet season.
