Question Going to do my brakes

I'm wondering about any upgrades that any of you may know of that are worth while for the broncos. I've got an 88 with 33x12.5s and a four inch superlift. I tow a boat and trailers that are loaded with tools and construction debris. I'd be interested in any idea or experience you guys might have. I've kind of been running through brakes faster than I'd like, and not really getting the stopping performance I'd like.

Thanks

Mike

Cross-drilled front rotors, ceramic pads and replace the fluid. Fluid gets old, dirty, absorbs water reduces performance. Just a few suggestions.

Any ideas where to look first. Distributors, makes, etc. Thanks for the help. Are the stock calipers up to par. I don't remember if I have steel or cast does it matter? Thanks Greystreak

Check JBG for the rotors. I know they have been selling a lot of them since they announced they were carrying them. As to the ceraminc pads, I'd check with local parts distributors. they are beocming more mainstream but they are still gonna be pricey. Nice thing is though they stop better, dissipate heat better and leave none of that annoying black/rusty dust all over the front wheels. I don't know abou the calipers. I know they are single pistion calipers and the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks from the same years had twin piston versions. Don't know if they are swappable or if its even an option.

How'bout swapping in F250, or some other axles with bigger brakes? Of course, that might a bit more work than a simple rotor + pad upgrade, but at least w.r.t. brakes, size does really matter.

Thanks but I don't want to go through all of that. Do you know if the cross drilled have the same of similar longevity and also are there any alterations that need to be done with them. Also do the cermamic pads last (wear) the same.

Anyone have any ideas on the calipers. How bout anyone aware any rear brake weakness' that should be dealt with while I'm doing the brakes. Thanks guys
