how to remove tps

HI 1989 2.3 duel plug how do i get the phillips screw out of the tps .it looks like its behind the egr mounting bracket.Thanks

hey, it is not a fun job. the way I did it is i got a little short phillips head back there and very slowly managed to loosen them. It is a nasty job, but thats how it goes(as far as I know)

just take the throttle body off. if you take it off carefully, you may not need a new gasket, but get one just in case.

Hey, el c. I took mine off ('98 2.5l - are they similar?) and used a philips screw bit, short - like you'd use to install drywall, Home Depot, $0.50- and a 1/4" ratchet drive with (can't remember exactly here) like a 1/4" socket. I was impressed that FORD used Locktite or similar on those screws, which kept them tight, but made them more of a bear to remove.
