Transmission Works Fine without problems During The Cooler Months, Here
in Texas, But As Soon As The Tempture Gets to The 80's And Above The
Transmisson Occasionally Hard Shifts or Slams Between 2'nd And 3'rd. It
will Also Slip Out of Overdrive. Right now it is Working Without
Trouble. Any Clues?
If you have not changed the fluid and filter yet it will be a miracle if you can fix it. You are supposed to change the fluid before it gets dirty. Changing it after you have problems like pulling your parachute in the treetops. There is a tech article here about changing your fluid, find it and read it. Break open your filter and look for broken parts.
Each transmission has a diagnostic routine that you have to run through to isolate problems. You need to find it and learn it even if you take your truck to a shop so that you will know if they are straight with you. Learn the tests and do the ones you can. If you can't fix it get someone to help with the tests you cannot do.
If you have to get another transmission make sure it has all of the updates.
Run some searches there is some good information here on the E4OD.
