Well after lurking for so long i have something to ask.
I have a 77 F150 with a 460/C6 combo. My 3in exhaust is running right next to the transmission lines. (They are touching) I want to re-run the lines and install an aux trans cooler. I am debating on running hard stainless steel or some sort of braided stainless lines. What have you guys done? How hard is it to run hard lines? I know this will be the cheaper route.
i havn't done this yet but i am going to rerout the cooler lines too. have an E4OD and cooler lines are very close to the exhaust. in the mean time i added a bit of heat shield wrap to keep the heat away. my thoughts would be to use hard line but run up and over the tranny and then up front. i can get help from the guys at our local Napa plus i also have a tubing bending kit. This is the way to go but hav not got motivated to do it yet. still kind of wet around hear. i would stay with hard lines all the way to the cooler if possible.
