A little head work....

Rebuilding a 86' 351W HO for my pickup and was thinking of maybe boosting the compression a little while i'm at it. Will be running stock pistons and heads. Should I have the heads milled a little and if so how much? Thanks.

Higher compression means having to use premium fuel, and or retarding the timing. A little porting work would do more for you then boosting the compression. If you do mill the heads, just have enough taken off to make a good sealing surface.

Tak a look at the Ford GT40P Heads. They have a 59cc Combustion Chamber and flow real good for stock heads. With stock dished pistons you will end up with about 9.0:1 CR.

I have them on my 351W
